Grow an edible young gourd that matures into a natural sponge.

Each packet contains 3 seeds. Germination varies naturally with seed age, temperature, moisture and the grower’s conditions.

Growing well

Planting guide

1. Use a clean, free-draining seed-starting mix and a tray or small pot with drainage holes.
2. Sow at roughly twice the seed’s thickness unless the packet notes that the seed should be surface-sown.
3. Keep the mix lightly and consistently moist—not waterlogged—and provide warmth and bright indirect light.
4. Move seedlings gradually into stronger light. Transplant once they are sturdy enough to handle and local conditions are suitable.
