About this product

Description & useful facts

A handsome perennial crop with colourful edible stalks.

Each packet contains 5 seeds. Germination varies naturally with seed age, temperature, moisture and the grower’s conditions.

Growing well

Planting guide

Use a clean, free-draining seed-starting mix and a tray or small pot with drainage holes.
Sow at roughly twice the seed’s thickness unless the packet notes that the seed should be surface-sown.
Keep the mix lightly and consistently moist—not waterlogged—and provide warmth and bright indirect light.
Move seedlings gradually into stronger light. Transplant once they are sturdy enough to handle and local conditions are suitable.

Traditional uses

Rhubarb is traditionally grown as part of an edible home garden. Harvest and prepare only correctly identified, suitable plant parts, and research safe preparation before eating an unfamiliar variety.

For educational purposes only. Traditional use does not prove safety or effectiveness and is not medical advice. Never ingest an unfamiliar plant, and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
